Stable Agreement De Manege Voorschoten

Monday through Friday – 8:00 until half an hour after the last class

Saturday – 8:00 – 17:00

Sunday only for horse owners: 8:00 – 13:00*

*Except for Sundays when activities are planned. Then the opening hours will be announced.

Lessons are set at a fixed time. If you need to cancel, you need to do so at least 24 hours in advance. If you fail to cancel (in time) you will still owe the fee for that class. This also goes for private or separate lessons.

We work with a quarterly card, which give you 13 lessons per 3 months. Any lessons which you have missed and canceled correctly can still be used on a different time and date, but have to be in the same quarter. You are responsible to catch up classes which you’ve missed by cancelation or Holidays etc. (Holidays are mentioned on the website) This could happen if you know you will miss a class later in the same quarter. In case of an absence longer than a week, because of sickness or holiday DMV can decide to prolong the validity of the lesson card. By cancelation of the subscription there is a notice period of one calendar month. Prepaid amounts are not refundable.

De Manege Voorschoten is certified with a health and safety mark “Welzijn & Veiligheid” and is a member of the  Manege& Ruiterbond organization. All our members have a stable agreement wich gives you an extra accident insurance and a riders passport.   The costs of this stableagreement  for 2021 is 19,- euros. With this agreement you also get a magazine “Manegeruiter” 4 times a year. If you don’t get i tour at the wrong adres please let us know at

On the day of the lesson, you need to be present at least 15 minutes before the lesson starts to be able to (help) get your horse ready for the lesson (if needed). We kindly request you to clean up the used (horse) material after the lesson.

The owner or company director of DMV are not responsible for accidents, theft or loss of private property. We request everyone to take their possessions home after their visit to DMV.

It is obligatory to wear the correct riding clothes such as riding breeches and riding boots or chaps (the first lessons we’d accept shoes or boots with a small heel and little to no profile instead of riding boots). It is obligatory to wear a safety cap (helmet) while riding for everyone. A body protector is encouraged, but only obligatory during jumping lessons and for children until the age of 12 years old. This is for your safety and/or for the safety of your children.

We understand that a stable has a lot of places for small (and larger) children to try and play, but we would like to emphasize explicitly that playing at the stable can lead to dangerous situations. We therefore have these rules:

  1. It is NOT allowed to play or run on the premises. Horses can get scared by unexpected movements and/or loud noises and can hurt themselves or others.

It is NOT allowed to climb/be on the hay/straw/silage grass bales.

  2. Damages, direct as well as indirect, to any property of DMV caused during/by playing or any other activity needs to be payed by the person who caused the damage or in case of a minor on his or her parent or legal guardian.
  3. DMV disclaims any and all liability for direct and/or indirect damage to (property of) persons who do not adhere to these stable regulations.

Smoking inside the building and on the territory is prohibited. This because of the fire hazard and nuisance for other customers.

Dogs are welcome, but they need to be on a leash.

We would request that you park on the side of the road, we do not provide parking space on our premises.

In any situation of which this agreement does not provide, you need to listen to indications by employees of DMV.
